The Royal Academy’s recent William Kentridge exhibition is a tour de force, it’s a powerful mixture of deep introspection and Dada-esque humour. I was fortunate to have a tour of with the curator, Adrian Locke, and wanted to share my thoughts on the show.

I was really privileged to create my globe for The World Reimagined in a shared space in Hackney. As I usually work alone in my studio, it was a wonderful experience to work alongside some of the other talented and inspiring artists and to learn about their practice.

Emancipation Day is celebrated on the 1st August across the Caribbean and the Americas. It’s a commemoration of the liberation of African people, a day of remembrance, and an opportunity to reflect on the courageous efforts and sacrifices of enslaved men and women in the fight for their freedom.

In 2017 I was privileged to spend Emancipation Day with my family in Georgetown, Guyana.
