Spires, Landscape Before Golden exhibited and Sold Out in Royal Academy Summer/Winter Exhibition 2020
From 6 October – 3 January 2020 Nicola Green’s work will be exhibited in the 252nd annual Summer Exhibition, 2020, at the Royal Academy, London.
The edition of 15 prints has completely sold out, but remaining prints in the series are available to purchase here.
Spires, Landscape Before Golden 2017 is one of four silkscreen print art works depicting the landscape of the Rocky Mountains, based on photographs taken by Nicola Green in 2000. In recording these landscapes, the artist contemplates our desire to still and control. These works offer a space for reflection, and a means to reconsider our relationship with nature and the natural.
Encounters - In conversation, Tony Langham with Nicola Green
Two years ago, on behalf of Lansons, Clare Parsons and Tony Langham commissioned 8 original pieces. The 8 artworks specifically made for Lansons are titled “Encounter Ducere” which is the latin word for Leadership.
The 8 artworks are proudly displayed in our reception and we hope in time our colleagues, clients and visitors can enjoy them whilst knowing the important meaning behind them.
Launch of Breath is Invisible 7th July 2020
Breath is Invisible is a public art project that acknowledges and addresses issues of social injustice and inequality, looking to engage the local community for a better tomorrow.
In the first of three displays, Khadija Saye’s silkscreen nine prints 'in this space we breathe' are exhibited on the walls of Westbourne Grove in a free public exhibition.
This display of Khadija's work will launch the Khadija Saye Arts programme which will address the lack of opportunities BAME and disadvantaged young people in the arts.

Launch of Khadija Saye Arts programme 7th July 2020
Khadija Saye Arts at IntoUniversity, inspired by the life and in memory of Khadija Saye, was founded in 2019 by Nicola Green with IntoUniversity. The programme officially launched 7th July 2020, and aims to address the lack of diversity in the UK arts sector by providing opportunities and education for young people.
Khadija Saye Arts brings together and introduces new arts-focused activities at IntoUniversity charity centres across the country incorporating a diverse range of creative activities within existing IntoUniversity programmes in order to enable young people between 7 and 18 to explore their own talent and creativity. The programme will support over 6,000 young people every year, across 31 local learning centres in 13 towns and cities across the UK.

Great Scotland Yard Hotel showcases works by Nicola Green
The Great Scotland Yard, the original home of the Metropolitan Police, is one of London’s most cherished and iconic buildings, it has been transformed into a hotel and has opened its doors to the public.
The new owners, in association with Hollandrige Group, asked Nicola Green to create a series of works which would capture the fascinating history of the building. She has drawn out the most important and interesting narratives from the building's rich history, visually telling the story of Scotland Yard and creating a series of works which anchor the entire project.

A Witness to Power at The Saïd Business School, Oxford
A Witness to Power, a retrospective exhibition of Nicola’s works will be displayed at the Said Business School, the University of Oxford from the 9th October to the 20th December 2019.
This is the first time Nicola’s series In Seven Days… and Encounters have been exhibited together.

President Obama, Greta Thunberg and In Seven Days....
After crossing the Atlantic on a solar-powered boat, the climate activist Greta Thunberg visited Barack Obama in Washington. Nicola’s work ‘Day 2 Struggle’ from the series In Seven Days… can be seen hanging in the Obama Foundation offices.
A Witness to Power: from Obama to the Dalai Lama
A retrospective exhibition of Nicola’s work is opening at The Said Business School, Oxford on Wednesday 9th October.
The exhibition brings together two of Green’s critically acclaimed bodies of work: In Seven Days…(2013) and Encounters (2018).
The exhibition launch will be accompanied by a Q & A between Nicola and renowned Author and Scholar Saeb Eigner. They will discuss the intersection of art, heritage, leadership and power.

Nicola Green in the 2018 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition
Nicola Green's Carnival, Pearls has been selected as part of Grayson Perry's Room of Fun at the Royal Academy's 2018 Summer Exhibition. This is the 250th anniversary of the world's oldest open submission exhibition. Green's work was specially selected for this room curated by Grayson Perry.
The 2018 Summer Exhibition will be held from 12 June to 19 August 2018.

Both bodies of work are concerned with identity, race and culture; themes that Green continues to explore. Shown at a time when the world and its leadership are in flux and questions of legacy, belonging and heritage are publicly and globally debated, it is a chance for visitors to view and consider these thought-provoking and pertinent pieces.

The Diaspora Pavilion is open from 13 May to 26 November 2017 at the Palazzo Pisani San Marina.
Diaspora Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale opens
Nicola Green and International Curators Forum (ICF) in partnership with University of the Arts London (UAL) with the support of Arts Council England, present Diaspora Platform and Beyond the Frame, designed to deliver 22 months of mentoring and professional development by twenty selected mentors. Twenty emerging British artists and curators from racially and culturally diverse backgrounds will be selected for involvement. During this time the artists will produce works that will be showcased in the Diaspora Platform exhibition at the Palazzo Pisani a Santa Marina during the time of the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017. Curated by ICF Director, David A. Bailey it will be the first of its kind. The provisional launch events in Venice span from Tuesday the 9th May to Thursday 13th May 2017.
Partners for Beyond the Frame include Iniva, New Art Exchange and Liverpool Biennial. Diaspora Platform is co - directed by Mark Crawley (UAL), David A. Bailey ( ICF), Nicola Green and Peter Clayton.
The launch of the two initiatives took place on the 9th November 2016 at UAL’s Chelsea College of Arts, during which the selected artists and curators were officially announced.
The Diaspora Platform exhibition will be running from 13th May – 26th November 2017 at Palazzo Pisani a Santa Marina, Venice, Italy.
